Hi and welcome, my name is Debbie and I manage my precious pets, dog walking and pet sitting business, I am a full time Mom to two children and have 24 years old Stepdaughter.  I also run another business and I am married to Paul.

Having always had a love of animals particularly dogs I decided on a change of career in 2019 to work with animals and I have not looked back, previously a Special Needs Teacher with over 25 years of experience.

I am an avid animal and dog lover and have owned a range of pets, from childhood including hamsters, cats and dogs.

I currently have a male 2-year-old Springer Spaniel named Jeff and had a female 15-year-old Collie/Greyhound saluki cross named Lotti, until August 2020, when she passed away.  Lotti was a rescue from Sunnyside Kennels, who we owned as a family since she was six months old finally reaching the ripe old age of 15 years.

Jeff our springer enjoys playing, bouncing, running, working, going for long walks and loves travelling in the car.

As a family we have owned five different dogs, including Lotti and Jeff. Scruff was a Springer Spaniel/Collie Cross, who was also a rescue, living with us until the age of 13.  Jessica was a Cross breed from Birmingham dogs’ home and Sweep was a Labrador who we owned from a puppy.  As a child I had a family dog called Rolly who was a Cairn Terrier, also owned from a puppy.  We also owned hamsters and cats.

As our pets are a very important part of the family and many of us can work long hours, I felt that offering a walking and drop in's would-be valuable services.  As a dog owner myself, I am also acutely aware of the need for care in the form of first aid. I feel that it is pertinent to know how to provide basic first aid in the event of any emergency.  This is something that came about from my previous career as a Special Needs Teacher, as training within basic first aid is a must along with knowledge and training of other health concerns. I decided to attend a training course in dog first aid after meeting my now part time employer/colleague Dani from dog-first aid.

I was so impressed with the content, delivery and drive that Dani has that I decided to apply for a role as a trainer with Dani who is the Franchise Partner and owner for Derby and East Staffordshire www.dog-first-aid.com

I work in conjunction with Dani providing training on behalf of www.dog.first.aid.com any reviews from the course delivery can be found on Facebook @ Dog First Aid Derby and East Staffordshire and mypreciouspets.
